My name is Linda and I'd like to introduce myself and my two retired greyhounds, Autumn Breeze and Keeshca Chablis. I have always had a 4 legged friend and feathered friend in my life. since I was a child. I grew up with an American Water Spaniel, a short-haired Dachshund, a Pomeranian, finches, a roller canary, and 3 Seal Point Siamese cats. Currently I have 2 retired greyhounds and a Seal Point Siamese cat. My passion for animals continues beyond my own home.I have stopped in busy intersections to pick up dogs who have gotten off of their leashes or neighbor's dogs who have accidentally escaped out of their yard. I have volunteered at Save-A-Pet walking the dogs waiting for adoption. I have also assisted with Greyhounds Only by transporting and fostering retired greyhounds. I also care for my feathered friends in my backyard, which is certified as a backyard habitat. I love to feed God's creatures all year long, including the winter, when I set up heaters in the bird baths. My satisfaction in life is knowing that they can rely on me for food, shelter, nesting, and water.
By working with American Genie, you are hiring someone who is following their dream and is dedicated to serving others and caring for their loved ones. My mission is to leave you with "Freedom From Worry" while you are away from home. I am not a 'hired staff member' or unemployed person who is doing this to get by while pursing another dream or career. I am a native Chicagoan who has lived here all of my life. I was born in Chicago and later moved to the Northwest suburbs. I know the suburbs like the back of my hand, since I worked and played in many of the Northwest and Western suburbs. I love all of our four seasons! Having played in the blizzard of 1967, and downhill skiing while growing up, I appreciate the snow and love the cold weather. Even when it is raining, I would rather be outside walking a dog, instead of being inside.
My pledge and commitment to my customers:
I pledge allegiance to my customers, of the Northwest & Western suburbs, of Illinois.
And with the commitment, for which they request, I, myself, under God, will serve and protect their pets with all of my heart and care.
Linda Rogus
